How the fares work
The Expreso del Sur – Ferrobús has one fare per leg, with no classes. Ferroviaria Andina publishes four legs: Oruro–Uyuni Bs 60, Uyuni–Atocha Bs 22, Atocha–Tupiza Bs 25 and Tupiza–Villazón Bs 25, the same in both directions. For journeys spanning several legs, the table below shows the sum of the legs.

Are there classes?
No. The Ferrobús is sold with a single fare per leg. The Ejecutivo, Salón and Popular classes belonged to the old Expreso del Sur and Wara Wara del Sur trains, suspended in 2021; today FCA only uses them on its monthly El Alto–Tiwanaku–Guaqui tourist train.
According to Tickets Bolivia, the Ferrobús has heating, blankets and a toilet on board, and allows up to 25 kg of luggage plus hand luggage.

Where to buy tickets
You can buy your ticket at the station or, conveniently, online. These are the available options.
Online
The FCA sells tickets online through Tickets Bolivia, paying by credit/debit card or Tigo Money. The most convenient option, especially in high season.

How to buy your ticket step by step
Choose your leg and date
There is one departure a week each way: Monday from Oruro and Thursday from Villazón. Check the times at each stop on the schedule page.
Buy online or at the ticket office
Online through Tickets Bolivia (card or Tigo Money) or at the station ticket office (Oruro, Uyuni, Atocha, Tupiza or Villazón). In high season, book ahead.
Add up the legs
There are no classes: you pay the fare for each leg you travel (for example, Uyuni–Tupiza = Bs 22 + Bs 25 = Bs 47).
Board the train
Get to the station in good time, show your ticket and dress warmly: much of the trip is at night and across the Altiplano.
