Wara Wara del Sur and other FCA services

The Wara Wara del Sur has been suspended since 2021 and has no current timetable; the old locomotive-hauled Expreso del Sur does not run either. More on the Wara Wara del Sur page.

Other Ferroviaria Andina passenger services. Besides the Ferrobús, FCA runs the Buscarril, a social rail-bus service on the Atocha–Tupiza (Mondays and Thursdays) and Viacha–Charaña (twice a week) sections, and a monthly tourist train El Alto–Tiwanaku–Guaqui (second Sunday of each month, leaving El Alto at 08:00).

Yes. Southbound it leaves Oruro at 21:30 and reaches Uyuni at 04:23; northbound it leaves Uyuni at 01:00 and reaches Oruro at 07:55. Bring warm clothes: the line crosses areas above 3,600 m.
It is not a daily service: there is only one departure a week in each direction (Monday southbound, Thursday northbound).
