Río Mulato Station
Río Mulato is a historic point on the corridor: this is where the Oruro–Uyuni line branches off towards Potosí. Until 2021 both the Expreso del Sur and the Wara Wara del Sur called here, but today it has no passenger service: the Expreso del Sur – Ferrobús, the only train running since June 2025, stops only at Oruro, Uyuni, Atocha, Tupiza and Villazón.
High on the puna at about 3,821 m, Río Mulato is some 100 km from Uyuni along the road linking that city with Oruro (Route 21). The nearest station with a train is Uyuni.
